His accent is horrible in most films, but in Layer Cake he just took the biscuit with a thoroughly awkward representation of an Englishman - which is some acheivement considering he is one.

I know what you mean, the only relatively convincing role I've ever seen him in was in 'Infamous'...he played a gay american. Never met a man who couldnt 'do' his own accent. Did you hear he said he refuses to take his shirt off in the next bond film. James Purefoy would clearly have been the better choice....come to think of it, Liza Minelli would have been a better choice.

It's too late to convert from the charming film version of Bond to the blunt version of Bond from the pages of Ian Fleming. He was too wooden and uncharismatic for my taste.
